If you have a group of physicians, nurses, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, pharmacists,
dentists or other professionals that would like a customized program delivered to your site, the NY/NJ AETC
can help.
To request a training, please follow these simple steps:
- Call the AETC Central Office at (212) 304-5530 or your local Training Partner. Provide us with information necessary to develop the right training to fit your need, audience, training modality, time and place Ask us about the potential of your site becoming an AETC Longitudinal Training Site.
- Complete our training needs assessment online and we will call you to follow up about how we can best address your group's training needs.
Our training programs are available in the following formats. Working to fulfill our mission of training and educating health care professionals, the NY/NJ AETC offers 5 levels of training:
Level I - Didactic Presentations |
Level II - Skills Building |
These lecture-type presentations may also include panel discussions, self-instructional materials, journal clubs and conferences. Program lengths vary from brief lectures to full-day conferences. |
These interactive, skills-building activities may include discussion of cases supplied by the trainer, role-play, simulated patient-provider workshops and train-the-trainer models. |
Level III - Clinical Training |
Level IV - Clinical Guidance |
For patient-specific clinical guidance, specialists throughout the NY/NJ AETC region are available by telephone, email, or in person. Clinical consultations and discussion of cases supplied by the participant/trainee make this program extremely rich in learning and experience. The NY/NJ AETC is partnering with the HRSA/AETC National HIV/AIDS Clinician’s Consultation Center which includes the Warmline (800-933-3413), and PEPline (888-HIV-4911), clinical guidance services that are staffed 24 hours a day. |

Level V - Technical Assistance |

As part of our ongoing support services, the NY/NJ AETC offers resources, guidance and assistance to improve HIV service delivery and performance at an organizational level. Technical assistance can be tailored to meet a specific need or request. |
