More about NY/NJ AETC preceptorships in general
These trainings are a unique experience for physicians, advance practice nurses, physician assistants, registered nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and other dental professionals (dental hygienists and assistants). Clinic sessions are often paired with one-on-one or small group didactic sessions focusing on various aspects of HIV disease. Preceptorships offer many valuable features, including intensive exposure to general HIV management over a concentrated period of time, the opportunity to develop a mentoring relationship with a lead clinician and can foster a long-term consultative relationship which can be useful for future clinical advice.
